Eyes on Vanier walkabout returns Starting May 29, 2014!
Eyes on Vanier Walkabout is a weekly event held by area residents who gather to walk Vanier's neighbourhoods. The Walkabout serves many purposes, not the least of which is to ensure that Vanier remains a safe place to live & play. Eyes on Vanier Walkabout aims to build our community, generate a sense of belonging, encourage sharing common concerns & finding resolutions and promote Vanier events to residents greeted along the way. Join us !

Eyes on Vanier Walkabout’s contribution to improving the safety of our residents helped Vanier to receive the Ontario Chiefs of Police Association “Community Mobilization Award” in 2009. In addition, Eyes on Vanier was runner-up for the Crime Prevention Ottawa “Community Safety Award” in 2009. Eyes on Vanier assisted the Together for Vanier Working Group on Beautification win the 2010 United Way “Community Builder of the Year – Turning Lives Around Award”. These awards are granted to groups who exhibit exemplary on-going efforts designed to make their neighbourhood a safer, more secure place to live and who strive tirelessly, passionately and collectively to help make their community a better place in which to live.
